Writing Challenge: Rat Poison and Red Solo Cups

A two-part challenge for your enjoyment.

1) Think of two or three ordinary items that you might purchase together and (with nothing else) that might make an attentive cashier want to call the police.

2) Write a short story about why someone might actually need to buy those items (whether innocent or diabolical). But do remember, NSA is watching. 😉

We can brainstorm items here and share ideas. I had a good laugh earlier as the first part of this challenge came up in conversation. I answered with “rat poison and red solo cups.”

What strange combination can you come up with?
